It is hard to imagine how the region's societies would find the space for forming advanced and stable democratic reform without significant and rapid economic modernization. اعتقد –مقتنعا - أن العالم يمر بمنعطفات ومنعرجات خطيرة ومتعددة، وأن الحوار ثم التفاهم الذي (يمكن) أن يقوم بين العالم الإسلامي والعربي و الغرب، يمكن أن يُسهم في خلق ظروف مواتية لعالم أفضل، ويمكن أن يوظف توظيفاً فاعلاً في تخفيف حالة التوتر وعدم الاستقرار التي أوجدتها ممارسات التنظيمات الإرهابية من شاكلة تنظيم القاعدة الإرهابي و الجماعة الإسلامية و غيرها من التنظيمات القائمة على الرغبة (البربرية) في السيطرة على العالم بيد من حديد وتكريس الدين الواحد –أسلمة العالم - من خلال التخويف وبث الكراهية والقائمة على العنف والقوة العسكرية والتي ستقود العالم – إذا أتيحت لها الفرصة -ـ إلى كارثة حقيقية.
إن الغرب الأوروبي بحاجة إلى الجنوب العربي المسلم من أجل الأمن و الاستقرار في العالم.
والعالم العربي والإسلامي بحاجة إلى الغرب الأوروبي من أجل التنمية والنهوض من ركام التخلف واللحاق بركب التقدم، ولا يمكن أن يتحقق ذلك إلا من خلال الحوار وفقط الحوار ولا غير.
هكذا يمكننا العيش في عالم متعدد الأقطاب و الثقافات والأديان, عالم يفند ما سماه هنغتون منذ عشرة سنوات بصدام الحضارات.

Those sorrowful events proved that “being a pacifist between wars is not as easy as being a vegetarian between meals” as Ammon Hennacy said.
